chord issues

- 01/12/2010

I have had 3 of these and still love the vapor that one gets. the chord can be fixed by buying a chord from radio shack and then splice the 2 ends, a litle work but worth it!

Not bad, not the best

First I've had this Vaporizer for almost a year and a half. I also own a Hotbox brand vaporizer. I've used the Extreme Vape, the volcano, the hotbox, the vape bro's, the iolite and of course the oxygen mini.

The pros:

It's light, portable and reasonably discrete. The digital variable temperature is very handy compared to the breath control of a 'on/off' box vape. The customer service is excellent (it's a con I needed them.)

The Cons:

The wired battery is a huge hassle and in public it draws questions. The screens are propitiatory. For the first year I 'made' my own using standard pipe screens, this eventually broke the clips on the ring that attaches the tube screen. Standard screens are way too thick for the plastic. So I called customer service adn got a new top and screens for $39 and a nice apology.

The iolite is far more portable vaporizer and discrete IMO. I can pass of the Vapir O2 as a 'medical device' that confuse most people, the IoLite I pass off as a Nextel and no one asks.
Even if I do feel silly talking into a vape.

The battery weighs more than the vape + herb + grinder, which is irritating if you have cause to carry all three at once.

The battery is slow to charge, if you expect to use it more than 1 - 1.5 hours, you'll need more batteries.

The power cable on mine broke at the connector. It's a 'standard' RJ-9 connector (old phone handset connector.) I repaired it with a RJ-11 because that's all Radio shack had in stock. I'll keep an eye out for a true Rj-9, but some sandpaper made the RJ-11 fit the Vapir.

If I were to buy again, I'd probably save more and get the Iolite, but it has it's issues to. All in all the Vapir O2 is a nice vape, but there are ones out there that deliver better quality in both smoke and durability, but they cost far more too.

I won't compare the O2 to the Volcano or Extreme Vape, they're in totally different leagues, but I wish I had $700+ to drop on a vape.

Packs a Punch

For the price you can't really beat it.. I've had mine for a few weeks now and Ive had no problems.. A little goes a long way with this, I'll fill the chamber half to three-quater way full and set the temp. Once the green light comes on Ill wait a few extra minutes and I'll have a steady and constant flow to enjoy until the default 20 min timer goes off then most of the time I can turn it back on and reset it and there is still more to enjoy.

The only con I have encounterd is that its hard to pass it around to let the friends enjoy to with all the wires for the battery pack.

Other than that it was a great investment

good money spent

Excellent vaporizer! This one and a ssv (silver surfer vaporizer) or dbv (da buddha vaporizer) is the only ones you need. Very eccomical on your herb and hits a like a truck. No big foggy clouds but get all the goodies out your product!

Worth the money

For the price you pay it's an excellent product. Took me a while to figure it out, but, once i figured out temps and amounts along with good timing; you get an awesome thick vapour and a little goes far! The wiring is awkward and needs to be improved on. Overall I love this product.

Great, Portable, Convenient, Simple to use.
